There is so much to do in the day. It’s the little things that seem to get in the way of what we really want to get done; cleaning, grooming, child rearing, cooking, etc. We are in a constant push and pull between what we want and what we have to do.
We may be having the best day – until we realize that we did not remove the laundry from the washer. There it is and here we are. We can’t get back to it and frustration becomes an option. There it will sit and begin the strange process, regardless of being clean, of collecting that damp dank smell, and then, it will have to be rewashed. You iron a shirt but forget to hang it up. You left something in the oven and it burned right before dinner.
Sometimes, as the saying goes, it takes one piece of straw to break the mighty camel’s back. Remember its part of life … breath, relax, and start over again, next time – better.
Pray in the morning to compose yourself for the battle, pray at lunch to refresh and measure your progress, pray in the evening to close a chapter then, congratulate, correct, and forgive yourself, breathe and then … pray without ceasing … you’re only human.
Remember you’re somebody’s hero.
